What are articles?
-It is a type of determiner that precedes a noun.
-There are two types of article the definite article (the) and the indefinite article (a/an). The definite article acts as a specifier to a particular individual and the indefinite article indicates that the following noun is a member of a class.

Uses of Articles
-This can let us know when a noun is already identifiable by the speaker or that it was already mentioned.(definite article)
-This can also show us that the noun is not the one identifiable by the speaker.(indefinite article)

-Articles may be a very hard when it comes to English grammar but commonly the errors in using articles are just taken for granted because articles are still understandable, but we still need to use the correct article as possible to be able to make it more understandable and comprehensive.

Uses of Article from the Western European Group:

Articles have developed in many different forms from all over the world but not all languages have both the definite and indefinite article and some other languages has different definite and indefinite article. But most languages in the Western European, French, German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Romanian has an article system like English. In traditional English an article is usually considered as an adjective and in some articles are a special part of speech.

Other Language:
In other language may have some difficulties in using articles so the student must learn and read the rules in using articles.

Examples of using articles:
-Definite Article-
+The students knew the puzzle.
+Pass me the pen.
+The children ran in the fields.
+The police men knew the hideout of the criminals.

-Indefinite Article-
+She had a necklace that was so nice that an old woman wanted to get it.
+Mr Paul has not taken a great meal after he ate an old pie.
