Your and You’re: The Difference

Let’s see the difference.
It is a common mistake not only for students learning English but also for native speakers is the difference between Your and You're in written English.
This happens because both words sound the same when they are spoken
So let’s see the difference

What is the difference between Your and You're?
The most simple explanation is that:
Your = a possessive adjective. It shows possession, that something belongs to the person you are talking to. e.g. This is not my pen, it is your pen.
You're = You are. It is a contraction (or short way of writing). e.g. You're crazy = You are crazy
Here are the examples below to show you more about the difference how to know when you are using the correct one:

- Possessive Adjective, refers to something a person has or owns
Your pen – so the pen belongs to you.
It is never You’re pen.
Normally we use
Your + Noun (thing)
Your English will surely improve if you’re keeping these in mind.

- Is a short combined form, You’re = You are
You’re wonderful = You are wonderful
You’re + Adjective (description)
You’re + Verb – ing (action)
You’re glad you were able to do it.
